What does the BDCC bring to the table?

Well, even though there are existing chambers that provide great services for small business owners and the community. I still believe we have something to offer. I have taken my experience in consulting a wide variety of businesses and I wanted to teach others how to avoid costly and damaging mistakes to their business, education that was not offered or shared with me. When looking back on when I started in business I constantly ran into issues such as:

_____- How to obtain access to business development tools.
_____- How to deal with negative influences and constructive criticism.
_____- How to build successful relationships and partnerships.
_____- How to deal with ideas that are taken and not collaborated on.
_____- How to positively network.
_____- How to impressively and affordably market.
_____- How to maintain a consistent drive.
_____- How to overcome disappointment and keep going.

Most of these questions I felt were not being addressed and if they were I didn’t agree with the method in which it was being given. This is why at the BDCC (Business DreamWorks Chamber of Commerce) we treat our members' issues and goals with more than a “politically correct” response. We take it personally, the way my business wasn’t addressed. However, it has truly been challenging in creatively servicing today’s passionate business owners and entrepreneurs and we see the reward. At the BDCC we strive to continue to raise the bar of expectation on ourselves and we work constantly to improve every facet of our organization from a business development aspect to customer service.

I truly believe that when you’re trying to facilitate something significant within the community is when you experience the greatest challenge, opposition, pain, and achievement all rolled in one. This is an obstacle that we are willing to face and overcome because our work affects more than our membership capacity. It affects our communities in the amount of action one is willing to take to move forward, something I believe that we as a society are losing hold of. So I welcome you to the BDCC where we all go through everyday issues, successes and making history.

As always, we wish you the best in your endevors and may your success affect and be shared with more than just you.
